2019 - a series of new works coming of the easel....

'Our Weeping Madonna'
2019

'Mob Rule'
2019

'The Insubordinate Woman II'
2019

'Origins'
2018

Four religious figures representing four main religions.  All religious books present women
as second rate citizens, second to men.  In some countries women are treated little better
than dogs, suffering continual rape and abuse.

This work makes a clear statement;

"REMEMBER WHERE YOU COME FROM...
WHERE WOULD YOU BE WITHOUT US"

'FEAR'
2018

Huria Matenga - Maori Mona Lisa

A modern day Nelson storm - February 2018, heroic rescues by man and machine.
In history - 1863, a strong beautiful courageous woman is part of her own rescue.

'ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE'
2018

THE BOAT SHED - 2018
I don't usually do landscapes, however we live opposite this historic landmark restaurant and witnessed the unfolding events that nearly saw the Boat Shed restaurant float away in ex-cyclone Fehi on February 1st 2018.
The road was closed and no photographers allowed in, so the photos in the paper were ours.

'100% Pure NZ'    SOLD
oil/mixed media
Another deviation from my usual works.  Although I like cows... NZ has far too many of them. I've used a $20 note to represent the 'cash cow'.  Profits should not come at the expense of our rivers.

'Make Believe'
ARTIST'S COLLECTION - NFS
oil - 600x1200
The wonderful imaginations of children and their make believe worlds.  As parents/adults we often pressure children to throw away fanciful ideas and follow truth. "Don't tell lies" we say. The irony is,  many of us teach our children un-truths based on our own false beliefs.
Belief in separatist religions cause war & persecution.  Children's beliefs are harmless.

'Burning Crosses'  SOLD

'The Insubordinate Wife''  SOLD
oil/mixed media - 660x400

'Adam's sin'
oil - 600x450  SOLD
Men wrote the bible - it's purpose to control and subjugate.  It certainly wasn't woman who bought sin into the world - It was man, his serpent....  and the bible   :-)

'The Three Bitches'
oil/graphite - 850x550  SOLD

'Bindings'
SOLD

The Grand Delusion

'THE SAD SUNFLOWER'
oil 640x480

 'The insubordinate woman'

'Not another fuckin landscape'
SOLD

Sonnet no. 116
